EUROVIP for VOLUNTEERS
In Europe, 23% of the people aged over 15 years old are engaged in voluntary work. However, without a certificate like those in the formal education environment, it can be hard to realize the scope of their learning or to prove what they acquired. EuroVIP partners developed a Portfolio for volunteering experiences in four languages in order to fill this gap and help young volunteers to self-discover, self-evaluate and self-reflect their competencies resulting from volunteering activities.
EuroVIP Portfolio is based on the ProfilPASS developed by the German Institute that was taking a look at all areas of private and professional life. The tool focuses especially on competences deriving from volunteering activities with three main scopes :
- Helping a self-discovering, self-reflection and self-evaluation of voluntary engagement.
- Providing skills and competences overview in order to serve recruitment process.
- Developing perspectives for professional development and help to prepare for job applications, interviews, (re-) orientation process or learning ventures (courses, training, volunteering or professional activities).
EuroVIP Portfolio provides a certificate that proves tasks, responsibilities, competencies and personal qualities of the young volunteer. EuroVIP portfolio is available in four languages and digital version:
